Located in West Hollywood, California, the project was to occupy an old under preforming retail plaza. The project consists of four separate buildings all over 4 stories of subterranean parking. With two high rise towers, each 14 and 10 stories and two five story buildings, one dedicated to affordable seniors, the project was to have 320 residential units. The front structures were to have ground floor retail to address the pedestrian nature of the street. Working in collaboration with Johannes Van Tilburg, the design broke down the large scale massing through a stepping back at upper floors and overall relief of the facade. The design also incorporated a sustainable design approach for the project.
